Key Responsibilities
- Review and support quarterly and annual statutory financial reporting
- Research and interpret Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP) guidance
- Assist with statutory audits, regulatory filings, and state examinations
- Analyze and reconcile complex financial data, investments, and general ledger activity
- Identify reporting discrepancies and help improve accounting processes and controls
- Partner with finance leadership, auditors, and internal teams on technical accounting matters
Qualifications & Experience
- 5 years of insurance accounting experience required
- CPA preferred, BS degree required
- Strong knowledge of NAIC Statutory Accounting Principles (SAP)
- Experience supporting statutory audits and regulatory reporting
- Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, lookups, and complex workbooks
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work independently in a fast-paced environment
