About the Role
MyStaff is hiring a Junior Staff Accountant for one of our great Omaha clients. In this hybrid position, you’ll split your week between the office and home while helping keep the books balanced, reports accurate, and deadlines met. This is a great opportunity for a Junior Staff Accountant who enjoys a structured workday and a friendly, team-focused environment.
What You’ll Do
- Dive into financial data to create variance reports and summaries.
- Post journal entries and make sure everything’s in order.
- Reconcile accounts so balances are accurate.
- Fix intercompany mismatches quickly and accurately.
- Prepare month-end and quarter-end reports.
- Answer questions from other teams and help them navigate accounting systems.
- Support audits by providing accurate, timely information.
What We’re Looking For
- Associate degree (or working toward one) in accounting or related field.
- 1 year of accounting experience is a plus.
- Strong Excel skills — macros are a bonus.
- Organized, detail-focused, and great at juggling multiple tasks.
- A team player with clear communication skills.
