Primary Role:
The Associate Director, Business Development (East Coast) at Myonex is responsible for driving revenue growth through a balanced combination of new business acquisition and strategic expansion of existing accounts. This individual identifies client needs across Myonex’s full suite of clinical supply services including drug sourcing, packaging, labeling, equipment/supplies, and CTRx Solutions and positions tailored solutions that deliver measurable value to pharmaceutical and biotech sponsors.
Success in this role requires deep knowledge of the clinical trial supply chain, a consultative selling approach, disciplined pipeline management, and close cross-functional collaboration with Operations, Quality, and Client Services teams. The Associate Director operates as a trusted partner to clients while contributing to Myonex’s broader commercial strategy and territory development objectives.
This is a remote position, with preference for candidates located on the East Coast, specifically in the Greater Philadelphia, PA; Greater Boston, MA; Greater Raleigh, NC; or Greater Charlotte, NC areas.
Duties:
- Prospect, qualify, and convert new accounts within assigned territory through outbound outreach, industry networking, and inbound lead follow-up.
- Lead the full sales cycle from initial outreach through proposal, negotiation, and close, ensuring alignment between client requirements and Myonex capabilities.
- Create compelling, client-specific presentations and proposals that articulate the Myonex value proposition that accomplishes the client’s goals
- Facilitate and lead site visits for prospective clients: set the agenda, coordinate internal subject matter experts, and drive post-visit follow-up to close or advance the opportunity.
- Own and deepen relationships with assigned accounts, serving as the primary commercial point of contact and ensuring high client satisfaction across active engagements.
- Identify cross-sell and upsell opportunities across Myonex’s service portfolio, expanding wallet share within existing accounts.
- Conduct regular business reviews and touchpoints with key accounts per established activity cadence expectations
- Monitor account health and proactively address risks to retention, escalating issues to leadership when appropriate.
- Partner closely with Operations, Regulatory, Packaging, and Client Services teams to ensure seamless handoffs and delivery excellence on won business.
- Collaborate with Marketing on campaign execution, content development, and lead generation initiatives relevant to assigned territory.
- Attend key trade shows & industry events to promote Myonex and network with potential customers.
- Follow-up with customers during and after service is completed to build relationships. Manage customer relations well after sales have been completed.
- Manage RFI/RFP process. Satisfy customer requirements with proposals and follow up with key contacts as required, until final decision is made.
- Keep management informed of changes within the industry to ensure the company model is competitive in all aspects of the business.
- Identify new areas of growth for Myonex and work with the management to develop appropriate processes to achieve growth.
- Maintain a disciplined, up-to-date pipeline in Salesforce (CRM), ensuring all opportunities, activities, and account interactions are logged accurately and in real time.
- Manage pipeline stages, forecasting, and close-date accuracy in accordance with Myonex’s sales process and reporting cadence.
- Collaborate with Marketing on campaign execution, content development, and lead generation initiatives relevant to assigned territory.
- Travel approximately 1-2 weeks per month, on average, including occasional international travel.
- Maintain routine conference calls and meetings with key customers.
- Perform competitive analysis.

Education & Experience:
- Bachelors degree or higher, preferably in Business or related field for the industry.
- Knowledge of clinical trials, clinical trial packaging, supply chains required and global regulations required.
- 5-7 years demonstrated success in business development with at least 4 years in Clinical Packaging, CRO, or related Clinical Services Industry.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Exposure to competitive positioning against major clinical supply competitors.
- Understanding of GMP and other key global regulations. Strong knowledge of the clinical trial supply chain, including drug sourcing, comparator sourcing, packaging, and labeling.
- Experience selling into mid-to-large pharma and biotech sponsors across North America and/or Europe.
- Ability to build rapport across diverse groups within Myonex and externally. Builds trust-based relationships and advocates for client needs internally.
- Good team player with ability to interact with others under short timelines.
- Strong sales/negotiation/presentation ability.
- Understanding of clinical supply chains and drug development procedures.
- Good understanding of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Maintains CRM hygiene, follows established cadences, and delivers on commitments.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Results oriented, confident, self-motivated and driven with high energy.
