What You'll Do:
- Lead daily accessioning and sample logistics operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all incoming samples
- Serve as the primary point of accountability for sample intake, verification, labeling, and chain-of-custody documentation
- Oversee and execute sample send-outs and shipments to external laboratories and partners
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Customer Support and Customer Success to proactively resolve sample-related issues and ensure a seamless customer experience
- Partner with Clinical Operations and Clinical Affairs to align on testing priorities, turnaround times, and quality standards
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for accessioning, shipment, and documentation
- Monitor capacity, staffing levels, and workflow metrics; perform capacity planning to meet current and projected volume
- Participate in hiring, training, and mentoring future team members as the accessioning function scales
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements (CLIA, CAP, HIPAA) and internal quality systems
- 4–6 years of experience in accessioning, laboratory operations, or clinical logistics within a CLIA-certified or CAP-accredited lab environment
- Demonstrated experience leading or mentoring team members; strong leadership potential and desire to grow into a formal management role
- Proven expertise in sample handling, shipping logistics, and documentation for clinical testing workflows
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to maintain quality and accuracy under pressure
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work effectively across multiple teams and disciplines
- Highly organized self-starter who thrives in dynamic, fast-growth environments
- Proficiency with LIMS systems, Google Workspace, and communication platforms (Slack, Confluence, JIRA, Monday.com, or equivalent)
- Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, laboratory management, or a related field preferred
- Must reside in the Bay Area and be able to commute daily to MyOme’s Menlo Park lab
- Location: Onsite full-time at MyOme's Menlo Park, CA laboratory.
- Compensation: Annual base salary range is $110,000 - $140,000, based on experience. Equity will also be provided in this role.
