Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Event Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and overseeing a variety of events, ensuring that each occasion runs smoothly and meets the expectations of clients and guests. This role requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and a passion for creating memorable experiences.

Duties

  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of events including logistics, catering, venue selection, and guest services.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring all costs are tracked and controlled.
  • Negotiate contracts with vendors, venues, and suppliers to secure the best terms for events.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to promote events through various channels, utilizing event marketing strategies.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients throughout the planning process and during events.
  • Oversee event setup and breakdown, ensuring all details align with client expectations.
  • Manage on-site event staff and volunteers to ensure smooth operations during events.
  • Implement upselling techniques to enhance client offerings and maximize event potential.
  • Maintain detailed records of event planning processes, contracts, and communications.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in event planning or management with a strong understanding of hospitality principles.
  • Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable contracts.
  • Strong marketing knowledge to effectively promote events.
  • Exceptional time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Outstanding communication skills for interacting with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Highly organized with keen attention to detail in all aspects of event coordination.
  • Experience in banquet services or catering is preferred.
  • Familiarity with fundraising initiatives is a plus.
  • Previous experience in restaurant or hotel settings is advantageous.

Pay: $42, $52,000.00 per year
