About The Role

As an Underwriting Operations Associate, you'll be the backbone of our underwriting operations, providing crucial support that enables our team to excel. You'll have the chance to evaluate existing processes, recommend improvements, and implement innovative solutions that drive efficiency and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process management - Handle data entry, transactions, and legal documents with precision and attention to detail
  • Quality assurance - Play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of account processing workflows
  • Procedural leadership - Own and guide internal procedures and service standards, ensuring compliance requirements are met and exceeded
  • Continuous improvement - Identify opportunities to enhance team processes and implement innovative solutions
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration – Coordinate communication with internal departments and external brokers to ensure seamless execution of client initiatives.

We Are Looking For Candidates Who Meet These Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or 2 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to evaluate priorities and manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Demonstrated competency in proofreading and reviewing work with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, and PDF management

These Are Additional Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in Crisis Management or related insurance fields
  • Experience in insurance operations or customer service roles
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work under pressure
  • Experience with document management systems

The position is flexible to one of the following offices: Kansas City, MO, Windsor, CT or Alpharetta, GA. Our company has a hybrid work model where the expectation is that you will be in the office three days per week on average.

The estimated base salary range for this position is $56,000 to $84,000. The specific salary offered for this, or any given role will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to job location, scope of role, qualifications, complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent, experience, education, and employer budget. At Swiss Re, we take a "total compensation approach" when making compensation decisions. This means that we consider all components of compensation in their totality (such as base pay, short-and long-term incentives, and benefits offered), in setting individual compensation.
