Amazon Air (AIR) seeks a Senior Supply Chain Manager (Sr. SCM) who will lead demand planning and short-term operations planning for the AIR network. The Sr. SCM will be responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts, optimizing for core metrics (cost, speed, volume, and quality), and scaling through automation. This highly cross-functional role requires working closely with multiple network planning and operations stakeholders across the organization to make forecasting improvements that optimize for capacity and labor decisions.. The Sr. SCM will build and refine forecasting models, collaborate with scientists, developers, and other tech teams to improve forecast accuracy, and translate demand signals into actionable operational plans. The Sr. SCM must look around corners, innovate, and optimize on a network-wide basis to enable increasingly faster delivery speeds on more items at lower cost for Amazon customers.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Key job responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts for Amazon Air network capacity and volume requirements across North America
- Analyze historical trends, seasonality patterns, and business drivers to predict future demand and optimize for core metrics (cost, speed, volume, and quality)
- Navigate through ambiguity; manage and coordinate multiple forecasting cycles simultaneously while making decisions without all required information
- Build and refine forecasting models using statistical methods and machine learning techniques, collaborating with scientists and developers
- Collaborate with supply chain, network design, and operations teams to align demand plans with capacity constraints, labor and operational capabilities
- Monitor forecast performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives to reduce forecast error and drive network-wide optimization
- Partner with key functional stakeholders to ensure demand signals drive optimal resource allocation despite constrained resources
- Present demand insights and recommendations to senior leadership to inform strategic decisions
- Occasional travel to sites. 15% per year.

Basic Qualifications
- 5 years of supply chain experience
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)
- Master's degree, or MBA in supply chain, business, engineering, finance or related technical or quantitative field
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including: pivot tables, macros, index/match, vlookup, VBA, data links, etc.
- Knowledge of SQL at an intermediate level, including: compile queries, subqueries, aggregation/grouping, data modification, etc.
