The Role
As a Quality Control Technician, you will help drive our goals by:
- Perform designated physical, electrical, chemical, metallurgical, and mechanical tests, including but not limited to:
- Mount, grind, polish, etch, and inspect metallurgical specimens. Operate metallograph and microscopes, for photo-micrographic examination of samples. Operate SEM and perform advanced inspections.
- Keep accurate test records including adding data to departmental databases.
- Perform calibration on measuring equipment.
- High school diploma with a minimum of 3 years of metallurgy laboratory experience. Bachelor's degree preferred
- Excellent computer skills, specifically Excel and Word.
- Must be able to work independently on a regular basis and demonstrate teamwork across shifts
- Familiarity with manufacturing and/or testing of metal tubing and wire is a plus.
