As a Claims Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and processing claims efficiently while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. You will work with internal colleagues and third parties to navigate the claims process, ensuring application of pertinent policy and assist with status and reviews.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $54,700 to $101,900.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
We are excited to offer a competitive total rewards package which includes health and welfare benefits, tuition assistance, 401K savings and other retirement programs as well as employee assistance programs.

We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:
- Experienced in verifying the authenticity and eligibility of claims, communication with clients throughout the claims process, and instructing insured individuals on gathering necessary claim information for submission
- Skilled in updating and maintaining the agency management system, including claim notes and filing systems, while assisting in the development of internal claim procedures and training clients on these processes
- Proficient in advocating for reserve reductions on behalf of clients, prepare claim reviews with insurance representatives, and ensure timely follow-up with all parties involved until claims are closed
- Ability to collaborate with claims team members and internal departments to identify client needs, develop personalized service plans, and ensure effective communication and execution of MMA Midwest's service strategy, while leveraging insurance knowledge to enhance client relationships and document procedural changes as necessary
- 1 year of experience in insurance or claims handling within an agency or insurance carrier
- BS/BA in Business, Insurance or related field
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
