Subaru South Tampa is looking for a customer focused, Service Advisor!
The Service Advisor is the face of the dealership for service customers. It is the Service Advisor’s responsibility to present and sell needed products, and or, services to the customer in a professional manner while adhering to Subaru’s published maintenance schedule and requirements.
Key Responsibilities and Duties

Customer Interaction:

Greet customers in a friendly and timely manner.

Listen to and accurately document the customer's description of their vehicle's problems and service needs.

Answer customer questions about services, repairs, and pricing.
-
Keep customers updated on the status of their vehicle's repair, including any changes to the estimate or timeline.

Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally and effectively.
-
Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and build long-term relationships.

Service and Repair Management:

Conduct an initial visual inspection or test drive to help confirm the customer's concerns.

Act as a liaison between the customer and the automotive technicians, translating technical issues into easy-to-understand language.

Create detailed and accurate repair orders (RO) that outline the customer's concerns and the required services.

Provide clear and accurate cost estimates for labor, parts, and supplies.
-
Obtain the customer's signature on the repair order and get approval for any additional work.
-
Advise customers on necessary routine maintenance and other services based on the vehicle's history and manufacturer recommendations.

Coordinate with the parts department to ensure necessary parts are available.

Administrative and Operational Tasks:

Schedule service appointments and manage the service workflow to optimize technician productivity and minimize customer wait times.

Process payments and handle billing inquiries.

Maintain accurate customer and vehicle service records.
-
Verify warranty and service contract coverage.
-
Ensure all vehicles are parked and secured properly after service.

Keep the work area clean and organized.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication is crucial for interacting with both customers and technicians.

Customer Service: A friendly, professional demeanor and a strong commitment to customer satisfaction.

Technical Knowledge: A foundational understanding of automotive systems, diagnostics, and repairs is essential to effectively communicate with technicians and customers.

Salesmanship: The ability to recommend and sell services and products that benefit the customer and the business.

Problem-Solving: The ability to quickly identify and resolve issues, especially when dealing with dissatisfied customers.

Organizational Skills: Excellent multitasking and time-management abilities to juggle appointments, repairs, and customer communication in a fast-paced environment.

Computer Proficiency: Experience with automotive software; X-time, and Reynolds and Reynolds preferred.

Experience: Minimum 3 years Service Advisor or Express Service Advisor

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and work in a fast-paced environment.

A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.

Must be a minimum of eighteen years of age

Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background & drug test)
