What We Offer
Essential Functions And Primary Duties
- Conduct desk and on-site reviews
- Conduct research in order to determine billing and reimbursement compliance with relevant Medicaid or other government program regulations
- Conduct all phases of the audit including planning and research, risk assessment, fieldwork, reporting of findings, and other procedures as required
- Review applicable Federal and State policies and regulations associated with each specific audit type prior to performing the audit
- Prepare working papers to document scope and findings of the audit in accordance with Medicaid or other government program regulations and AICPA standards
- Leverage SQL Server to query, analyze, and summarize large data sets effectively.
- Produce high-quality, error-free deliverables that clearly communicate analytical findings, insights, and actionable recommendations to clients
- Develop interactive dashboards in Power BI or Tableau
- Utilize computational tools such as VBA, Python, and Power Automate to streamline and automate work processes
- Demonstrate excellence in communication skills, data gathering, analysis, reporting, and process improvement
- Maintain security and confidentiality of all protected health information when analyzing material
- Maintain thorough electronic documentation
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
- CPA, CPA candidate, or CFE
- Internship experience in accounting, finance, or related field
- Experience with health care auditing and data analysis
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Well organized with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to review statutory/regulatory or other policy language and apply requirements
- Must be able to manage multiple deadlines, prioritize assignments, and effectively multi-task
- Proficient use of applicable software programs, including Microsoft Office suite (i.e. Excel, Access, etc.)
- Familiarity with database (SQL) and report writing desired
- Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, health policy, health care administration, health information, criminal justice or related field
