Job SummaryJob Title: Project Estimator (Utility)Job Type: In-personLocation: Columbus, OHWork Type: W2 – Permanent Job Summary:The Project Estimator (Utility) prepares accurate and competitive cost estimates for outside plant, structured cabling, and electrical construction projects. This role supports the pre-sales process by evaluating labor, materials, and subcontractor costs, coordinating with internal teams, and helping secure profitable contracts.Responsibilities:Prepare detailed cost estimates and bid proposals.Read blueprints, perform takeoffs, and conduct pre-bid site visits.Work with customers, project managers, and subcontractors on scope and pricing.Maintain and update cost databases.Attend pre-bid and progress meetings.Track and analyze job performance and profitability.Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.Use software tools such as B2W, HCSS, and Microsoft Office for estimating.Required Qualifications:3–5 years estimating experience in OSP, structured cabling, or electrical construction.Strong understanding of construction methods and costs.Proficiency with estimating software (B2W or HCSS preferred).Excellent communication, organization, and analytical skills.Valid driver’s license required.OSHA 10 (required); OSHA 30, CPR, and First Aid (preferred).Schedule and Shift Details:Full-time, Monday–Friday; occasional travel for site visits or meetings.Benefits:Medical, Dental & Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid Maternity & Parental LeavePaid Life Insurance & Voluntary OptionsFree Wellness Resources & Marketplace DiscountsCompany DescriptionAbout CongruexCongruex designs and builds broadband and wireless communications infrastructure — powering the systems that keep our modern world connected.
