We are seeking a licensed and highly motivated Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with physical limitations caused by injury, illness, or surgery. This role requires strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering evidence-based patient care.
As a Physical Therapist, you will work closely with physicians, rehabilitation staff, and patients to create individualized treatment plans that improve mobility, relieve pain, and restore functional independence.
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations using medical history, diagnostic results, and physical assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to patient goals and rehabilitation needs
- Implement therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and mobility training
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans to optimize outcomes
- Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and long-term wellness strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care
- Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) and rehabilitation aides when appropriate
RequirementsQualifications
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
- Active Michigan Physical Therapist license
- Successful completion of the National Physical Therapy Examination (NPTE)
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles, patient care techniques, and clinical best practices
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to adapt treatment plans based on patient progress and changing clinical needs
- Physical ability to lift and assist patients weighing 40 pounds
