Job Description:
Client is seeking a qualified individual to provide project management for the Division of Child Support. The role supports information system transformation projects and enterprise-level IT implementations. The project involves leading design, development, and implementation of information system transformation efforts; defining business and technical requirements; managing large-scale enterprise and smaller projects; coordinating teams and vendors; ensuring governance, timelines, and budget; and mentoring state personnel.
Type of Project: IT Project Management / Information System Transformation / Child Support System Modernization support.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of child support program policies, procedures, and business practices.
- Experience on child support system modernization projects.
- Successful experience managing information technology solutions.
- PMP certification or equivalent working experience.
- Knowledge of various software development methodologies (agile, waterfall, DevOps, etc.)
- Experience in successfully applying project management and project governance principles.
Activities include but are not limited to:
- Leading the design, development, and implementation of various information system transformation projects.
- Providing strategic direction to the agency.
- Assisting with defining strategic direction of enterprise level IT implementations.
- Defining business and technological requirements by consulting with product owner, subject matter experts, and scrum teams to define business needs and objectives.
- Providing project management of highly complex large scale enterprise projects and smaller scale projects.
- Leading and coordinating efforts of development teams and vendors to ensure solutions are implemented successfully.
- Ensuring project governance and monitoring controls are in place.
- Ensuring project design, development, and implementation are on time and budget.
- Mentoring state personnel in project management and over time potentially train state resources to take over this function.
