About the Role:
seeking an experienced, executive-level Director of IT Services to lead enterprise IT Infrastructure Management (ITIM) and Delivery Services. Reporting to the CIO/CTO, you will oversee day-to-day infrastructure operations, enterprise cloud services, vendor performance, service desk workflows, and ongoing technology modernization initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Enterprise Cloud & Infrastructure: Direct ongoing migrations from legacy VMware virtualization to AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Landing Zone) while optimizing cloud spend, resiliency, and performance.
- Service Desk & Network Oversight: Supervise statewide enterprise LAN/WAN, unified communications, and Tier 1–3 service desk operations, ensuring key SLA/KPI metrics are consistently met.
- Vendor & Contract Governance: Lead third-party MSP, carrier, and cloud vendor relationships, including SOW drafting, milestone tracking, and procurement activities.
- Security & Compliance: Enforce compliance controls across all environments in accordance with HIPAA, CMS (ARC-AMPE), and Mississippi ITS frameworks.
Mandatory Requirements:
- 10 years of progressive IT experience with substantial focus on enterprise infrastructure operations.
- 8 years of technical leadership/management experience supervising engineers and support staff.
- 2 years of hands-on management with AWS cloud environments (VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Landing Zone).
- 2 years of experience overseeing IT service desk management, vendor/contract governance, and enterprise networking.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, or related field.
- Must pass a State/DOM background check and adhere to strict HIPAA/CMS confidentiality requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior IT leadership within state/federal Medicaid or public health agencies.
- AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, SysOps) or ITIL v4 certification.
- Familiarity with CMS interoperability standards (FHIR APIs) and tools like Dynatrace, Cohesity, F5 BIG-IP, and Entra ID
