Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Tax Preparer based in Los Alamitos, CA. The Tax Preparer will oversee the preparation and filing of individual and business tax returns, ensure compliance with tax regulations, and communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary financial information. Additional responsibilities include reviewing financial statements and providing guidance on tax-related matters to assist clients in achieving their financial goals.
Qualifications
- Experience in Tax Preparation and Tax compliance
- Experience preparing the following forms: 1040, Schedule C & E, 1065, 1120, 1120-S, 1041, etc.
- Strong knowledge of Profit and Loss Statements and Balance Sheets, and how they apply to tax returns
- Good understanding of Tax and Tax Law principles
- Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in tax preparation software and basic computer skills (ProConnect and/or Lacerte considered a plus
- Effective communication and client management skills
- Prior experience in a similar role or related field is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Experience in lieu of degree considered.
- Experience in an accounting or advisory role is a plus.
