Who we want
The Corporate Development Officer is an integral part of My Possibilities’ 9-member Resource Development Team. The Resource Development (RD) team is composed of both development and marketing experts and is responsible for raising annual and capital funds in support of My Possibilities through a variety of efforts (over $4.5 million in 2025). The Corporate Development Officer manages My Possibilities relationships with corporate funders, along with team members, and owns a $600,000 corporate fundraising budget. The position works closely with the Chief Development Officer and other team members to create and execute a comprehensive strategy to meet revenue goals.

The Corporate Development Officer is key to success as an organization. Through a balanced fundraising effort, corporate gifts are crucial to the annual fundraising goal of MP. By cultivating relationships and soliciting gifts from corporations, this position will be a vital part of the team. Essential functions
- Represent My Possibilities to a range of constituents, establishing relationships, growing partnerships with all aspects of MP, and securing contributions
- Using knowledge of continuum of opportunities to get involved with MP (volunteer, donate, hire), ascertain, and creatively address funders’ needs/desires
- Lead, with Grants and Foundations Officer, MP’s corporate grant fundraising effort
- Work throughout the entire organization to identify needs and marketable opportunities that would interest corporate donors; then work closely with MP staff to execute efforts to cultivate and steward funders’ gifts/grants
- Manage a portfolio of current and prospective corporate supporters, creating strategies for cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship for each relationship
- Participate in securing corporate event sponsorships for annual fundraising events
- In collaboration with the Senior Campus Life Manager and Workforce Solutions Manager, execute Corporate Days of Inclusion/Service and volunteer activities on the MP campus and provide timely follow up that results in donations from corporate volunteers via employee giving, corporate matching gifts and corporate gifts
- Support Development department in maintaining accurate individual, corporate, and foundation database records
- Attend and support overall Development department activities, including performances, fundraising events and donor cultivation and stewardship events annually

- Excellent oral presentation skills
- Consistent creativity and an ability to bring those creative endeavors to life
- Management of high-level volunteers
- Able to work collaboratively with all levels of staff, volunteers, Board members, donors, and prospective donors
- Ability to develop and execute a plan aligned with departmental and organizational priorities
Minimum qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
Experience: Four or more years of fundraising/corporate relations or other relevant experience
Specific skills
- Able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Highly organized, self-motivated, creative, strategic, and professional
- Able to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
- Experience in corporate relations with non-profits, corporate relationship management or sales
- Previous portfolio management of major donors and corporations experience a plus
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Products
Specialized knowledge, licenses, etc.
- Current driver’s license, acceptable driving record and valid car insurance required.
- Must be able to clear a background check with no related offenses jeopardizing the integrity of our program
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience working with a CRM

Working conditions
My Possibilities Resource Development Team works traditional work hours, but work may occur during weekday evenings or weekends either in or outside the office. Position must feel comfortable working in a team and communicate effectively with peers, superiors and HIPsters, our Hugely Important People
