We are looking for a PART TIME Overnight Desk Clerk/Night Auditor to work 11pm to 7am, 2 nights per week with various weekends.
Job Summary
The night auditor is responsible for auditing all accounts to ensure they are in balance, and preparing final reports for management. He/she acts as the third shift, front desk clerk ensuring maximum room revenues and guest satisfaction, in line with Venerts Hotel Management Inc.’s management standards.

Essential Functions:
- Assists all guests in a sincere and courteous manner, whenever possible, going the extra mile and doing whatever it takes to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Verifies that all charges to guest accounts that are made during the day are correct. These duties along with express checkouts under the doors must be done by 4:00 a.m. the following morning as well as USA Today’s if applicable.
- Completes all credit card transmittals, direct bills, and no show billings for the day.
- Prepares all daily reports.
- Acts as the manager on duty in the absence of the General Manager.
- Registers and processes guests promptly upon arrival and departure, to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Demonstrates a working knowledge of all services and facilities of the hotel, as well as the local area, effectively assists guests.
- Demonstrates the use of sales techniques to effectively sell the property, maximizing occupancy and average rate.
- Receives and processes telephone and walk-in reservations accurately to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Professionally and competently operates the telephone system according to the Venerts Hotel Management Inc.’s. Management standards.
- Understands and applies all hotel safety and security procedures as required to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees and guests.
- Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance coming to his/her attention so prompt corrective action can be taken.
- Sorts, washes, dries and folds linen and terry.
- Performs, but not limited to, other specific duties.
- Sets up breakfast according to operational polices and standards and is in compliance with the local, county and/or health department standards to ensure absolute guest satisfaction.
Qualification Standards
- Minimum of High School education or two years of Night Audit experience.
- Ability to quickly learn front desk technical procedures as well as audit procedures, such as: check-in, check-out, selling skills, computer operations, telephone operations, etc.
- Ability to operate computer or cash register to handle monetary transactions and give correct change.
- Ability to work well on multiple tasks at the same time.
- Ability to be friendly and cheerful; interact easily with strangers.
- Ability to cooperate with and support others.
- Ability to observe, react quickly, adjust to different guest situations and show self control during excitement.
- Ability to work accurately and competently with numbers.
- Ability to exhibit strong organizational skills and strong detail orientation.
- Ability to operate equipment such as: cash register, computer, credit machines, telephone console/switchboard, calculator, laundry & utility carts, etc.
- Grooming must meet property standards.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, be in good physical condition, bending, twisting, stooping, reaching and lifting up to 50# or more may be required.
- Ability to complete and be certified in CPR and First Aid.
