What are the responsibilities and job description for the Toddler Teacher position at MY LITTLE TEAM TEXAS?
My Little Team Texas in San Antonio, TX is looking for one toddler teacher to join our 11 person strong team. We are located on 15415 Applewhite Rd Ste 102. Our ideal candidate is attentive, motivated, and engaged.
Responsibility:
- Creating a Safe Environment**: Ensure the classroom is safe and welcoming for toddlers, minimizing hazards and providing secure areas for exploration.
- Curriculum Development**: Design and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
- Monitoring Development**: Observe and assess each child's progress, identifying strengths and areas needing support, and adapting teaching methods accordingly. Responsible assessment children milestone
- Facilitating Play:Encourage learning through play, providing opportunities for children to explore, experiment, and socialize with peers.
- Communication with Parents**: Maintain open lines of communication with parents about their child's progress, behavior, and any concerns, fostering a partnership in the child's education.
- Behavior Management**: Implement positive behavior management strategies to help children learn appropriate social skills and emotional regulation.
- Health and Safety**: Ensure proper hygiene practices are followed, including handwashing, food safety, and supervision during meals and snacks.
- Regular assist and supervise children during handwashing and face cleaning routines, ensuring hey develop a good hygiene practices
- Help children keep track of their personal items such as jackets, prompting responsibility and organizations
- Educate on Hygiene Practices by cleaning children faces at all times
- Professional Development**: Stay updated on early childhood education practices and participate in training or workshops to enhance teaching skills.
- Team Collaboration**: Work collaboratively with other teachers, staff, and specialists to provide a holistic approach to each child's education.
- Creating a Learning Atmosphere**: Foster a love for learning by providing various educational resources, books, and creative materials that stimulate curiosity and exploration.
- Responsible in documenting children meals and CACFP forms
- Responsible for communicating with parents thru Procare
- Experience in a child care setting is a must
- Child Development Associates a plus
- Ability to develop lesson plans that meet Texas Rising Star standards
- Classroom Management Skills
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift, bend and stand
- Flexibility is a must
- First Aid and CPR certified
- 24 hour Pre-service training a must
- 2 year of experience in working in a daycare
