Pay: $11.00–$15 per hour
My Little School is seeking experienced and dependable Lead Daycare/Preschool Teachers to work with children ages 3 months to 5 years old.
We are a small, academic-focused childcare center that balances learning, play, and nurturing care. Applicants must be comfortable following an established curriculum, lesson plans, classroom routines, and daily schedules.
We are looking for teachers who genuinely love children and can lead a safe, clean, organized, engaging, and nurturing classroom. This position is best for someone with a strong work ethic who takes initiative, communicates professionally, accepts coaching, and understands that childcare is both heart work and hard work.
Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Have a current and valid CDA or Early Childhood Education TCC
- Have at least two years of experience working in a licensed childcare center
- Be available Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Be interested in working in a small, academic-focused daycare/preschool
- Be able to follow an established curriculum, lesson plans, and daily schedule
- Have strong classroom-management skills
- Have reliable transportation to and from work
- Be comfortable working with children ages 3 months to 5 years
- Be able to support children with special needs or required accommodations
- Complete 18 hours of required professional-development training before starting and annually thereafter
- Be able to pass a Georgia comprehensive background check
- Be dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work consistently
- Be willing to learn, accept coaching, and follow school procedures
- Be physically able to lift children, sit on the floor, bend, stand, and move throughout the day

Job Responsibilities
- Lead and manage an assigned infant, toddler, twos, preschool, or pre-K classroom
- Create a safe, welcoming, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
- Follow the school’s curriculum, lesson plans, classroom routines, and daily schedule
- Lead circle time and age-appropriate learning activities
- Maintain strong classroom management using calm, firm, and positive guidance
- Actively supervise and remain engaged with the children throughout the day
- Keep the classroom clean, organized, sanitized, and tour-ready at all times
- Change diapers and assist children with potty training
- Serve meals and supervise children during mealtimes
- Prepare children for rest time and supervise sleeping children
- Update the parent communication app with diapering, meals, naps, activities, incidents, photos, and other important updates
- Communicate clearly and professionally with families
- Maintain positive and professional relationships with parents, coworkers, and management
- Support children with special needs, behavioral needs, and individual accommodations
- Follow children’s care plans, classroom accommodations, and safety procedures
- Redirect challenging behaviors calmly without yelling or using inappropriate discipline
- Complete required classroom, cleaning, safety, and documentation checklists
- Attend required meetings, training sessions, and professional-development courses
- Work cooperatively with assistant teachers, floaters, and school leadership
