Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Classroom Support Specialist to assist in creating a positive and effective learning environment for students of various ages and needs. This role involves working closely with teachers, students, and families to support educational goals, foster development, and ensure classroom success.
Duties
- Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans across subjects including literacy education and math.
- Support classroom activities that promote social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Help manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques.
- Support early childhood education initiatives, including toddler care and preschool activities.
- Aid in curriculum development and adapt instructional materials to meet individual student needs.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement
- Maintain open communication with parents and staff regarding student progress and behavioral concerns.
- Assist with classroom organization, materials preparation, and maintaining a clean learning environment.
Skills
- Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education practices
- Strong classroom management skills to foster a safe and productive learning environment
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, parents, and students.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods for different age groups including toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary students.
- Experience working in daycare settings or private schools is preferred.
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches is a plus.
