REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree, 60 credits
- Physical abilities sufficient to frequent standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and/or lifting.
- Ability to relate and communicate with children, teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Flexibility to support diverse classroom needs and instructional settings.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- One or more years of experience working with students in a school setting.
- Interpersonal skills sufficient for prolonged and effective contact with students.
- Familiarity with elementary classroom routines and management strategies.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support classroom teacher with instruction and learning activities
- Provide small group and one-on-one student support as directed
- Supervise students during transitions, lunch, and recess
- Prepare instructional materials and organize classroom resources
- Monitor student behavior and respond to student needs
- Communicate with teacher about student progress and concerns
- Attend required professional development and staff meetings
- Other duties as assigned by teacher, principal, or Director of Student Services
LENGTH OF CONTRACT: Remainder of 2025-26 school year
SALARY/BENEFITS:
- According to the Paraprofessional Master Agreement (Pay Level 1)
- 10 sick days - 2 personal days per year
- Various paid holidays
- Insurance benefit 30 hours/week
- Longevity after 5 years of service
