Responsibilities

- Oversee daily administrative operations including patient check-in/out, appointment scheduling, billing, and insurance processing using systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix.
- Ensure accurate management of medical records and electronic health records (EHR) systems while adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations.
- Coordinate with clinical staff to optimize patient flow and ensure smooth communication between front office and dental providers.
- Manage fiscal responsibilities such as budgeting, financial management, and billing procedures to maximize practice profitability.
- Handle human resources functions including hiring, onboarding, conflict resolution, and compliance with employment laws.
- Maintain compliance with healthcare standards such as JCAHO accreditation requirements and managed care protocols.
- Implement office policies for medical administrative support and clinic operations that enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Monitor clinic performance metrics related to utilization management and medical administrative workflows to identify areas for improvement.
- Facilitate communication with insurance companies, managed care organizations, and external vendors to streamline claims processing and reimbursements.
- Support acute care or hospital experience knowledge when applicable to improve patient service delivery in complex cases.
Experience
- Proven experience managing a busy dental environment.
- Extensive knowledge of dental office procedures along with familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or eClinicalWorks.
- Strong background in fiscal management including budgeting, financial oversight, and billing processes within healthcare settings.
