Warehouse Shipping and Receiving Associate

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Receiving Associate to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the receipt of goods, ensuring accurate inventory levels, and maintaining a well-organized storage area. This role is crucial for supporting our shipping and receiving operations, contributing to efficient order fulfillment, and maintaining high standards of quality control.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality, documenting any discrepancies.
• Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory levels and manage stock locations.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to load and unload materials safely.
• Perform order picking and packing tasks to prepare items for shipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization within the warehouse environment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely processing of orders and shipments.
• Utilize RF scanners for inventory management and tracking purposes.
• Assist with packaging products for e-commerce orders as needed.
• Conduct basic math calculations to verify quantities and ensure accuracy in order fulfillment.

Experience

• Previous warehouse experience is preferred, particularly in shipping & receiving roles.
• Familiarity with warehouse distribution processes and order fulfillment practices is a plus.
• Experience using MRP systems such as AS400 is advantageous.
• Proficiency in operating various warehouse equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers is essential.
