Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming, along with experience in operating CNC milling machines and lathes. This role is essential for ensuring precision and efficiency in our production processes, contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.
Duties
- Develop and optimize CNC programs for milling and lathe operations using various software tools.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to create accurate machining instructions.
- Utilize CAD/CAM software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and CATIA for programming and design purposes.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
- Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure designs meet specifications and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot and resolve programming or machining issues as they arise during production runs.
- Maintain documentation of all programming changes, setups, and production runs for quality assurance purposes.
Skills
- Proficient in CNC programming with experience in Fanuc controls.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) principles.
- Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus.
- Experience with tooling selection and setup for various machining operations.
- Solid mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical documents.
- Excellent math skills for calculations related to machining processes and geometry.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining high standards of quality control.
