Responsibilities
- Prepare and package products efficiently, ensuring all items are properly labeled and secured for shipment using appropriate packaging materials.
- Operate forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and RF scanners safely to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse.
- Use Warehouse Management System (WMS) software to track inventory movements, update stock levels, and manage order processing accurately.
- Pick and pack customer orders with precision, verifying items against order sheets or pick lists to ensure correct fulfillment.
- Conduct stock replenishment by stocking shelves and organizing inventory according to warehouse distribution standards.
- Assist in shipping and receiving activities by verifying incoming shipments against purchase orders and preparing outgoing shipments for carriers.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace by adhering to safety protocols and ensuring all equipment is in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize warehouse distribution processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Support inventory control efforts by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling discrepancies using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems like AS400 or similar platforms.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations during load & unload operations and when operating equipment such as forklifts or reach trucks.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a warehouse environment is highly preferred, especially in shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, or stock management roles.
- Demonstrated proficiency with warehouse equipment including forklift certification, reach truck operation, pallet jacks, and order picker tools.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), RF scanners, AS400 or other ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems is advantageous.
- Basic math skills are essential for counting inventory accurately and processing shipments efficiently.
- Experience with e-commerce fulfillment processes will be considered a strong asset.
