Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive cleaning duties across various areas including offices, hallways, restrooms, and common spaces with precision and attention to detail.
- Use specialized equipment such as buffing machines, floor scrubbers, and vacuum cleaners to maintain floors in excellent condition.
- Conduct routine custodial tasks such as trash removal, dusting, sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces to uphold hygiene standards.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting repairs needed for fixtures, lighting, or flooring issues promptly.
- Assist with industrial cleaning projects when required, including cleaning large equipment or high-traffic areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by replenishing supplies and ensuring sanitation standards are met consistently.
- Support residential painting or minor maintenance tasks as needed to enhance facility appearance.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to ensure a secure working environment.
- Keep detailed records of cleaning schedules, supplies used, and maintenance requests for accountability and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial, industrial, or residential settings is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care procedures including buffing and stripping floors.
- Experience with commercial cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, scrubbers, vacuum cleaners, and pressure washers.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs or painting is a plus.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to ensure thorough cleaning routines.
- Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout shifts.
