Job Overview
We are a busy restaurant and are looking for someone that cares about the place and is very details oriented.
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper chemical handling safety procedures and using appropriate protective equipment.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners to ensure thorough sanitation of floors and surfaces.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when moving furniture, supplies, or cleaning materials.
- Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by disinfecting fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring sanitation standards are met.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all custodial activities to prevent accidents or injuries.
- Assist with minor facilities maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs or reporting repair needs to the appropriate team.
- Support industrial cleaning projects or specialized custodial tasks as needed, including chemical agent handling for deep cleans.
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to cleaning requests or concerns from staff or visitors.
Experience
- Prior custodial or janitorial experience is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with commercial or industrial cleaning environments.
- Experience with cleaning equipment such as floor buffers, vacuums, and carpet cleaners is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and sanitation standards is essential for maintaining a safe workspace.
- Previous work involving heavy lifting and manual handling aligns well with the physical demands of this role.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks or residential painting can be an added advantage in supporting overall building upkeep.
- Strong adherence to safety protocol guidelines ensures a secure working environment for yourself and others.
- Customer service experience is beneficial for effectively addressing requests from staff or visitors in a professional manner.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
