What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Scheduler - Data Center Construction position at MXI Partners?
MXI Partners are currently recruiting for an experienced Project Scheduler to join a fast-growing General Contractor.
Our client is leading a large-scale, multi-year ground-up Data Center build in Texas. They're expanding their team and building a permanent staff in Texas as they continue to grow locally.
The role is hybrid, requiring 50% on-site presence in Texas.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain the master CPM schedule, sequencing all phases of ground-up construction through to commissioning and hand-over
- Coordinate with PMs, superintendents, and trade partners to develop and validate schedule logic
- Update schedules to reflect changes, delays, and progress; recalculate critical path and float as conditions shift
- Track actual progress against baseline and identify variances early
- Monitor float erosion and critical path shifts; flag risks and develop recovery plans
- Track long-lead procurement (switchgear, gensets, chillers, CRAHs) against milestone dates
Experience required:
- Multiple years of construction scheduling experience, ideally working for a general contractor on large, complex projects
- Experience scheduling for a Data Center project, covering full MEP sequencing
- Strong experience with the creation of CPM, master and baseline schedules, using Primavera P6 and other related tools
- Experience managing float erosion, equipment lead-times and subcontractor scheduling
