We are a fast-growing screen printing and embroidery company in San Leandro, CA that produces custom apparel for schools, sports teams, and businesses. We’re looking for a dependable, organized Shipping & Receiving Specialist to join our operations team and help ensure orders move smoothly from production to customer delivery.
Position Overview
The Shipping & Receiving Specialist is responsible for managing all incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory, and ensuring that every order is packed, labeled, and shipped accurately and on time. This is a hands-on role that plays a vital part in keeping our production schedule running efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and check in incoming shipments (garments, supplies, and materials)
- Verify packing slips against purchase orders and report discrepancies
- Organize and maintain warehouse inventory and stock levels
- Prepare outgoing shipments for UPS, FedEx, USPS, and local deliveries
- Accurately pick, pack, label, and stage orders for shipping
- Update order statuses in production software and communicate with office staff
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area
- Assist with occasional deliveries or pickups (must have valid driver’s license)
- Support the production team as needed during busy seasons
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse operations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under deadlines
- Familiar with shipping software and label printing (e.g., ShipStation)
- Comfortable lifting boxes up to 50 lbs and being on your feet throughout the day
- Basic computer skills (Google Workspace, Excel, or similar)
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Bonus Skills
- Experience in apparel, screen printing, or embroidery production
- Forklift or pallet jack experience (certification a plus)
- Familiarity with inventory management software
Schedule & Benefits
