THIS IS A 1 YEAR DEPLOYMENT OVERSEAS. The Unarmed Security and Custody Officer provides for the care and custody of the migrant population in accordance with the operational policies, procedures, and processes to meet company and contract requirements. Provides security, general, administrative, and technical support for assigned contract to include inventory and reporting. Maintains a high level of confidentiality for daily business decisions and operational functions. Essential Functions: Provides professional care and custody to the migrant population. Executes company and client policies, procedures, and guidance in accordance with company and contract requirements. Assists in the repatriation of all migrants; processes all new and incoming migrants. Conducts security patrols and inspections as directed. Conducts operational random inspections of program activities, office, vehicles, equipment, etc. to ensure contract compliance. Assists in providing on the job training to new officers to ensure security officer actions are in line with operating protocols, standard operating procedures, post orders and company policies. Provides and maintains all daily posts and logs, forms, incident reports, and related documents. Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, following vehicle driving guidelines. Assists with the set up and maintenance of equipment, including the set-up and take down of tents, cots, generators, and lighting. Assists with inventory, supplies, emergency equipment and vehicle maintenance. Other administrative duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications: Possess a High School diploma or equivalent. Must be a United States citizen. Have at least on (1) year of experience in public or private security, law enforcement, or US Military related field, and Bilingual in Spanish or Haitian Creole and English preferred Proficient with MS Word and Excel and familiar with “smart” phone and general computer technology. Work schedules may fluctuate according to work demands including evenings and weekends, periodic long and irregular working hours. Travel is required frequently between offices, within the service area, and to attend meetings and conferences as required to fulfill the obligations and responsibilities of the position. Available to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends. Must have investigative and report writing experience. Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently. Ability to use good judgment, alertness, and even temperament at all times. Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and may be required to meet the following conditions of employment. Security Requirements: Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance Favorable credit check for all cleared positions Successfully pass a background investigation, medical and drug screen. US Citizenship Physical Requirements/Working Conditions: Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees, ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, work outside in 80-90 degree weather. Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 0% - 10% of the time. Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 0% - 10% of the time, must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
