**Job Summary:** We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring accuracy in financial transactions.
**Duties:** - Manage all aspects of the general ledger - Prepare financial statements and reports - Process accounts payable and accounts receivable - Reconcile bank statements - Conduct month-end and year-end closings - Perform payroll functions - Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
**Qualifications:** - Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred - Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role - Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, and other related tools - Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) - Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity - Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - Familiarity with technical accounting skills including journal entries, debits, credits, and governmental accounting
