Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage financial records and ensure accurate accounting practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of QuickBooks Online accounting software and principles, including GAAP, and be proficient in handling general ledger activities, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role is essential in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and supporting our organization’s fiscal health.
Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks.
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare journal entries, account analysis, and double entry bookkeeping in accordance with GAAP standards
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes efficiently
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis regularly
- Assist with budgeting, financial report writing, and financial statement preparation
- Handle payroll processing and tax-related tasks with precision
- Ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards and regulations
- Support internal audits by providing necessary documentation and reports
- Perform 10 key typing for data entry accuracy
Skills
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, and other financial tools
- Strong understanding of accounting principles including GAAP, double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and journal entries
- Experience with corporate accounting, non-profit accounting, public accounting, governmental accounting, and technical accounting practices
- Ability to perform bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation
- Knowledge of financial concepts including budgeting, account analysis, and financial report writing
- Familiarity with payroll processing and tax experience is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in bookkeeping tasks
- Strong analytical skills for account analysis and account reconciliation tasks
