The Vice President of Project Management provides executive leadership for the organizations project management function, with full ownership of developing high-performing project managers, implementing best-in-class project management practices, and driving efficient, profitable project outcomes. This role establishes standards, measures performance through key metrics, and ensures consistent delivery across all projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, building a strong, accountable project management team.
- Establish, standardize, and continuously improve project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
- Provide executive oversight of project planning, execution, quality, risk, schedule, and scope.
- Oversee project estimation, resource planning, and budget management.
- Develop, track, and analyze project management metrics including schedule adherence, utilization, profitability, margins, and client satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement through data-driven performance reviews and quality assurance processes.
- Serve as a senior client partner, ensuring alignment with client needs and identifying growth and add-on opportunities.
- Lead and support proposal development, project scoping, and executive presentations.
- Ensure accurate documentation, drawings, specifications, and compliance with company standards.
- Stay current on industry trends, tools, and emerging technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in the industry.
- 10 years of progressive construction project management experience, including people leadership.
- Strong financial, operational, and analytical skills with experience managing budgets and performance metrics.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and the ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications
