Marketing Automation Manager
Mutual of Omaha Mortgage seeks a dynamic Marketing Automation Manager to join our team. As a Marketing Automation Manager, you will own and execute multi-channel marketing campaigns across email, SMS, phone, and direct mail — serving as the connective tissue between our marketing programs and Salesforce CRM.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Build, manage, and optimize automated marketing campaigns in Customer.io spanning email, SMS, triggered workflows, and lifecycle journeys
- Design and execute multi-channel campaign strategies that coordinate messaging across email, outbound phone, SMS, and direct mail touchpoints
- Own the integration and data sync between Customer.io and Salesforce, ensuring lead and contact data flows accurately and in real time
- Build and maintain audience segments, suppression lists, and dynamic cohorts using CRM and behavioral data
- Partner with Sales, Business Development, and Analytics teams to align automation efforts with pipeline goals and lead generation initiatives
- Monitor deliverability, engagement metrics, and conversion rates — then act on what the data tells you
- Manage direct mail campaign execution including list pulls, vendor coordination, and performance tracking
- Develop and maintain campaign documentation, playbooks, and QA processes
- Stay current on compliance requirements (TCPA, CAN-SPAM, state-level regulations) relevant to mortgage marketing communications
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in marketing automation, preferably in financial services, mortgage, or lending
- Deep working knowledge of Customer.io — building workflows, managing segments, configuring integrations, and troubleshooting
- Heavy Salesforce experience (reports, flows, campaign objects, lead/contact management) — this is non-negotiable
- Proven track record executing coordinated campaigns across email, SMS, phone, and direct mail
- Strong understanding of data hygiene, list management, and CRM data architecture
- Experience with A/B testing, conversion optimization, and campaign analytics
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks governing consumer financial marketing
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the mortgage or reverse mortgage industry
- Familiarity with affiliate or lead generation marketing programs
- Exposure to BI/analytics tools such as Power BI, Sigma, or Tableau
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Pardot
The salary range for this position is $90,000-$125,000 annually.
