Position Description
As a Counter Sales Representative, you will be the first point of contact for contractors, homeowners, and walk-in customers—representing our brand, products, and commitment to exceptional customer service. We manufacture and supply a wide range of hardscape and masonry materials, including brick, concrete blocks, pavers, retaining wall systems, and related landscape products. In this role, you will help customers select the right materials for their projects while supporting the daily operations of our showroom and yard.
You will assist customers both in person and over the phone, providing product information, pricing, availability, and order support. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to work collaboratively in a small team environment. We rely on team members who are dependable, proactive, and ready to support one another wherever and whenever needed to ensure excellent service and smooth day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist contractors, homeowners, and walk-in customers with product selection and order placement
- Provide accurate pricing, quotes, and product information in person and over the phone
- Process sales orders, invoices, and payments
- Coordinate with yard and delivery staff to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment
- Maintain showroom appearance and product displays
- Support inventory organization and general operational tasks as needed
- Build and maintain positive customer relationships through professional service and product knowledge
- Work collaboratively with team members to support daily business operations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- The qualified candidate must have excellent interpersonal written/verbal communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as a member of a fast-paced Branch team.
- Similar work experience and/or experience in the building materials industry is preferred.
- This position demands someone with a high level of customer service and the ability to handle multiple priorities is essential.
- Familiarity with computers, and strong mathematical skills are required.
- Previous experience with masonry products and/or construction practices a plus.
- Forklift experience a plus.
