Role Overview
This role is centered on building meaningful partnerships with architects and designers across both residential and commercial markets to drive the early specification of masonry and hardscape solutions. You’ll play a key role in shaping projects from concept through construction by positioning Mutual Materials product at the forefront of design.
Your region of responsibility will be Southern, WA to Northern Portland, OR
Key Responsibilities
- Influence design decisions by providing expert guidance, creative solutions, and technical support throughout the planning process
- Deliver engaging presentations and educational sessions that showcase the value and versatility of Mutual’s product
- Identify, pursue, and develop new project opportunities, maintaining consistent follow-up with key decision-makers including architects, building owners, developers, and general contractors
- Partner with the sales team to support project development and ensure alignment from specification through execution
- Represent Mutual Materials within industry trade associations and professional organizations to expand visibility and strengthen market presence
- Provide product literature, samples, and hands-on support to bring design concepts to life
Qualifications
- Knowledge of commercial construction practices, design, and experience working with building materials or masonry is preferred but not required.
- Previous sales experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment that demands strong organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills.
- Exceptional communication skills in all forms (written, in-person, and telephone). Must be proactive, friendly, conscientious, diligent, and committed to contributing to operational goals in a positive and productive manner.
- A clean driving record is required.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines; detail-oriented, resourceful, and thorough in completing projects.
- Demonstrated success in growing company sales revenue and market share through customer engagement.
- High level of integrity and a desire to work in a dynamic, strategically driven environment.
- Ability to travel locally within the assigned territory.
