Responsibilities
- Perform detailed cleaning and sanitization of kennels, cages, and common areas to uphold health standards
- Handle animals with care, ensuring their safety and comfort during cleaning processes
- Assist with pet boarding and pet sitting duties as needed, providing a clean environment for pets in our care
- Maintain cleanliness of pet grooming tools and facilities, supporting overall pet hygiene routines
- Support team lifting efforts when moving supplies or large equipment safely and efficiently
- Follow proper animal behavior protocols to ensure safe interactions between staff and pets
- Contribute to outdoor work tasks such as yard cleaning or outdoor kennel maintenance to promote a healthy environment
Skills
- Previous veterinary experience or veterinary technician experience is highly valued for understanding animal needs and safety protocols
- Pet sitting, pet boarding, or pet care facility sanitization experience demonstrates your ability to handle animals responsibly
- Strong animal handling skills including dog training, animal restraint, and understanding animal behavior
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely during kennel setup or cleaning tasks (team lifting preferred)
