Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Low Voltage Service technician to join our team. This is a hands-on, on-site role serving clients throughout the Rochester NY area and experience in construction‑based installations, including running cable, reading plans, and working efficiently on active job sites. The ideal candidate is highly independent, able to take scope of work and execute it with minimal supervision while maintaining strong attention to detail, safety and quality. Will, also, have a strong background in diagnosing and troubleshooting low voltage systems, along with experience in installation and maintenance. A proactive, problem solving mindset is essential for success in this role
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in low voltages systems quickly and effectively
- Install, service and maintain systems, including
- -Security Alarms Systems
- -Fire Alarm Systems
- -Access Control
- -CCTV and surveillance systems
- -Data and voice cabling
- Conduct fire alarm inspections and testing in accordance with NFPA standards
- Perform system testing and verification to ensure proper functionality
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
- Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes
- Provide excellent customer service and maintain detailed service records
Required Qualifications:
-High School Diploma
-2 years of experience in low voltage systems installation and service
-OSHA 10-Hour certification (REQUIRED)
-Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
-Working knowledge of tools, equipment and safety procedures
-Valid Driver's License and clean driving record
-Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
-Technicians must be able to provide their own basic hand tools; Specialty tools will be supplied by the company
Preferred Qualifications:
-NICET Level I & II Certifications
-Manufacture-specific training with systems such as:
- Honeywell (Including FireLite, Ademco, and Silent Knight)
- Potter
- DSC
- Kidde
-Experience with IP-based systems and networking
-Familiarity with local building and fire codes

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour
