As a Commercial Low Voltage & Fire Alarm Installation Technician, you will install and configure electronic security and fire alarm systems for commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Commercial Low Voltage & Fire Alarm Installation Technician, you will be responsible for installing and configuring new security and fire alarm systems in commercial environments.
- Install and configure electronic security systems including intrusion, fire alarm, video surveillance (CCTV), access control, and network-based intercom systems
- Run and terminate low-voltage wiring
- Program and configure systems to meet project specifications and ensure proper operation
- Test systems to verify functionality and confirm readiness for customer use
- Guide customers through system operation and features in a clear, professional, and approachable way
- Accurately document installation details, including photos and system information, and upload records to customer accounts through company systems
- Ensure all work meets safety standards and company quality expectations
- Complete work on a variety of job sites, including commercial and public projects that may be subject to prevailing wage requirements
- Deliver exceptional customer care throughout the installation process and effectively coordinate with contractors and other points of contact on commercial job sites
Qualifications:
- 2 years of low-voltage installation experience required
- Experience installing security, fire alarm, video surveillance (CCTV), access control, or intercom systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude with tools and wiring; proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently without management support
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- OSHA 10 and/or NICET certification a plus
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Work Requirements:
- Comfortable navigating diverse job site conditions including elevated work on ladders and scaffolding, above-ceiling spaces, ductwork, crawl spaces, and other confined or restricted areas common to commercial installations
- Capable of juggling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to lift equipment and tools as needed; strict adherence to all safety protocols
- Daily regional travel required, including occasional travel beyond the immediate area; company vehicle provided for business use

- Detail-oriented, organized and professional on every job site
