About the Position
MHI is looking to hire 2 experienced siding contractors to join our growing team in Kalamazoo. We are seeking dependable, hardworking individuals with hands-on experience in residential exterior work who take pride in quality craftsmanship and professionalism.
This position involves installing and repairing siding on residential homes while working efficiently with a team to complete projects on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Install vinyl, fiber cement, wood, and other siding materials
- Measure, cut, and fit siding accurately
- Remove and replace old siding and exterior materials
- Install soffit, fascia, trim, and flashing
- Operate power tools and construction equipment safely
- Read measurements and follow project plans
- Maintain a clean and organized job site
- Communicate professionally with team members and homeowners
- Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Requirements
- Previous professional siding installation experience required
- Knowledge of siding systems, exterior trim, and weatherproofing
- Ability to use siding brakes, saws, nail guns, ladders, and hand tools
- Reliable transportation to job sites
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and perform physical labor daily
- Comfortable working at heights and on ladders
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to work independently and with a crew
- Dependable, punctual, and motivated
- Valid driver’s license preferred
