Job Summary & Scope:
The Dishwasher is responsible for keeping the kitchen clean and organized by washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools. You’ll work closely with the kitchen team to ensure everything is ready for service.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Wash Dishes: Clean plates, glasses, utensils, and cooking tools.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Keep the dishwashing area and kitchen organized and sanitized. Cleaning machines and appliances used in the kitchen, such as coffee makers, pots, and pans, mixers, etc. Sweeping and mopping floors, especially in the event that items are broken or spilled.
- Support Kitchen Staff: Help with basic food prep and stocking supplies when needed, as well as unloading and storing deliveries. Taking out the trash and rinsing garbage cans.
• Follow Safety Standards: Follow all cleaning and safety guidelines in the kitchen. • Experience: Previous dishwashing experience is helpful but not required.
- Skills: Attention to detail, ability to work well in a team, and ability to stand for long periods.
- Physical Requirements: Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Working Conditions: Busy kitchen environment with exposure to heat and cleaning chemicals.
