About the company
Since 1929 Muskingum Iron & Metal Co has specialized in the processing of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal. We purchase scrap from the general public, commercial accounts, and industrial customers across the region. After segregating material by grade, we package it to meet mill furnace specifications so the material can be melted down to begin its new lifecycle. We currently operate five locations across Southeastern and Central Ohio. Muskingum Iron & Metal Co. is an equal opportunity employer.
Role
- Receiving orders using computer entry
- Accuracy on data entry
- Pulling and packing orders
- Stocking and replenishing orders
- Outbound shipping
- Willingness to work in dirty environments
- Maintain clean work environment
- Ability to sweep and organize
- Open to working in outdoor environments year round
- Operate powered industrial equipment – Pallet Jack and Forklift
- Work in safety sensitive environments
- Willingness to learn
Qualifications
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Ability to push, pull, bend and lift in a safe manner.
- Can stand, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, reach, crouch, crawl for a minimum of 8 hours per day.
- Ability to perform work independently and accurately.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Forklift experience
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
