Library Assistant I - Floating Sub
Floating subs work at ALL Muskegon Area District Library branches throughout Muskegon County assisting Librarians with day-to-day tasks such as shelving books, removing materials from shelves, running book sales, program set-up (might be the zoo visiting, might be a murder mystery!), answering phones, assisting with opening and closing library facilities, registering library cards, etc. Working in a library is so much more than sitting behind a desk checking out books!

***Must be available to work a flexible schedule at multiple locations, which requires reliable transportation.
- Must be able to read, write & alphabetize
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of library services helpful
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Proficiency in typing and using databases
- Must be able to lift up to 30lbs (books and equipment can be heavy!)
Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Temporary
Pay: $15.43 per hour
Expected hours: 16 – 29 per week
