Why We Need You
The Stewardship Manager is responsible for designing and executing donor stewardship strategies that ensure meaningful engagement, recognition, and retention of donors. This role ensures that donors receive timely, accurate, and compelling communications that demonstrate the impact of their support and strengthen long-term relationships with the Museum.
What You’ll Accomplish
Donor Stewardship Strategy & Execution
Collaboration and Community: Builds strong relationships across Advancement, Finance, Communications, and other Museum teams to deliver a seamless donor experience and ensure stewardship commitments are met.
Creativity and Innovation: Develops thoughtful and engaging stewardship strategies that strengthen donor relationships while continuously identifying opportunities to enhance recognition and engagement.
Commitment to Excellence and Integrity: Produces accurate, high-quality donor communications and reporting with exceptional attention to detail while honoring donor intent and maintaining confidentiality.
Empathy and Leadership: Leads and develops a collaborative team while fostering meaningful relationships with donors and colleagues through thoughtful communication and a service-oriented approach.
Resilience and Adaptability: Balances multiple priorities in a changing environment, exercises sound judgment, and embraces new ideas and processes to strengthen the stewardship program.

What You’ll Accomplish
Donor Stewardship Strategy & Execution
- Develops and implements stewardship plans across donor segments and giving levels
- Ensures consistent, high-quality donor acknowledgment and recognition practices
- Manages donor reporting processes, including impact reports and updates
- Oversees development of donor-facing materials, including reports, letters, and impact
- communications
- Partners with Communications and program teams to gather content and articulate
- outcomes
- Ensures messaging aligns with institutional priorities and donor expectations
- Maintains systems to track donor engagement, recognition, and reporting requirements
- Ensures fulfillment of donor agreements and reporting commitments
- Monitors timelines and workflows to ensure timely delivery of stewardship activities
- Tracks and analyzes stewardship effectiveness and donor retention trends
- Identifies opportunities to enhance donor experience and engagement strategies
- Oversees financial stewardship activities, including endowment reporting, donor fund stewardship, tax acknowledgment processes, and coordination with Finance to ensure accurate stewardship records and compliance with donor intent.
