Minimum Qualifications
Education- High School diploma.
Experience – Minimum of two years in healthcare setting.
Licenses and Certifications- Incumbent must possess a valid Oklahoma State driver’s license.
Knowledge and Skills –
- Knowledge of tribal governmental systems, public health systems and organizational management systems at a corporate level of an organization.
- Incumbent plans, coordinates, and implements the Environment of Care and Emergency Management program within the Muscogee Creek Nation Department of Health Facilities.
- Knowledge of the CMS, DNV-GL, the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), the National Protection Association (NFPA), the Emergency Management standards.
- FEMA NIMS ICS 100, 200,300, 400, 700, 800
- Ability to communicate effectively to all relevant departments, agencies and individuals in order to properly conduct day-to-day business.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and responsibilities in an efficient and effective manner.
Job Summary
The purpose of this position is the implementation of the Environment of Care/Emergency Management policies/programs for the assigned site. . Facilitates environment of care and emergency management activities at the Muscogee Creek Nation Department of Health Facility site assigned. Acts as a resource person to administrative, and department managers. Oversight responsibility for all regulatory life safety, physical environment, and emergency management surveys.
Work Environment
Work is performed in an office environment and will require occasional travel.
Physical Demands
Work is mostly sedentary, requiring the operation of office machines, and driving a GSA vehicle to MCNDH sites may be required.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrates effectiveness in planning and implementing the environment of care and emergency management program to meet the needs of the Muscogee Creek Nation Department of Health Facilities.
- Ability to facilitate environment of care and emergency management activities throughout Muscogee Creek Nation Department Health Facilities.
- Evaluate the environment of Care and emergency management program annually for effectiveness and performance improvement goals.
- Facilitates monthly environment of care/emergency management committees.
- Participate in quality management committee and reporting environment of care/emergency management data quarterly.
- Participate in local emergency management planning committees and regional medical planning group meetings.
- Develop, maintain and conduct facility environment of care and emergency management orientation to meet regulatory standards.
- Demonstrates the ability to address issues and activities that encompass the larger aspect of operations including the ability to communicate with staff and external customers to meet established goals.
- Ability to complete weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
- Maintains regulatory readiness documentation, ensuring system is in compliance with regulatory standards and that personnel are trained and ready for regulatory inspections.
- Maintain facilities emergency management equipment and supplies.
- Develop and maintain hazwoper operation and awareness level teams at the facility.
- Incumbent will work independently to gather, analyze and evaluate data concerning the organization and then make appropriate recommendations to management on actions that should be taken.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
