Facilities Technician
The Musco Facilities team has an opening for a Facilities Technician at our Oskaloosa office. The purpose of this position is to maintain Musco facilities and properties; complete all internal and external work orders to meet the demands of the Team. This will entail all aspects of construction from concrete, framing, drywall, roofing, plumbing, electrical, interior finishes and general labor. Essential Criteria:
- High school diploma/GED
- 1 year(s) of experience in building maintenance, construction, or related trade.
- Valid US Drivers License required.
- Good oral communication skills and ability to coordinate with outside vendors and internal customers.
- Knowledge in setting up machines and workstations in both office and production environments.
- Comfortable with computers, excel, word, etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Innovative problem-solving with a team-oriented mindset.
- Familiarity with Musco solutions is a plus.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance on electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Complete preventive maintenance tasks to keep equipment and building systems in safe working order.
- Carry out minor carpentry, painting, and general repair projects as needed.
- Monitor and operate building systems such as boilers, pumps, and lighting controls.
- Respond promptly to service requests and document completed work.
- Assist with safety checks, including fire systems, alarms, and emergency equipment.
- Support contractors and vendors during repair, installation, or construction projects.
- Help maintain clean, safe, and organized facility spaces, including occasional grounds support.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
