Retail Warehouse Lead
Muscle & Strength LLC – Headquarters Salary: 8:30-5:30PM | Shift: Full-Time
Job Summary
Are you a natural leader with a passion for efficiency? As a Retail Lead, you will be at the heart of our warehouse operations. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will lead a team of 10–15 hourly and agency staff to ensure every retail customer order is picked accurately, packed professionally, and shipped at lightning speed. You will play a vital role in building our team through hiring, training, and daily coaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Supervise 10–15 associates, managing daily productivity rates and providing hands-on coaching to meet performance goals.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee the full lifecycle of retail orders—from accurate product selection to professional packing and carrier placement.
- Inventory & Tech Management: Use Warehouse Management Software to troubleshoot inventory issues, research backorders, and resolve shipping software errors.
- Supplies & Logistics: Monitor the consumption of shipping materials and manage the weekly ordering of boxes and supplies.
- Safety & Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment; safely operate pallet jacks and forklifts to maneuver stock.
What We Are Looking For
- Experience: 3 years in a warehouse environment with a proven track record of meeting demanding performance requirements.
- Certification: Previous forklift certification is required (standing forklift).
- Leadership Skills: Experience training new associates and the ability to lead a team under pressure.
- Problem Solvers: Strong communication and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including varied hours as needed to meet shipping deadlines.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand/walk for an entire shift in a warehouse environment without climate control.
- Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 60 pounds.
- Comfortable positioning self to access product (stooping, kneeling, crouching) and ascending/descending ladders.
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Leadership : 1 year (Preferred)
- Warehouse: 1 year (Preferred)
Ability to Relocate:
- Columbia, SC 29209: Relocate before starting work (Preferred)
