Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Daycare Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with young children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged infant to preschool, fostering their development through engaging activities and positive interactions.
Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote learning and development in line with early childhood education standards.
- Supervise and engage with children in various activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages social, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, using appropriate behavior management techniques.
- Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom space conducive to learning.
- Collaborate with other staff members to create an inclusive environment for all children, including those with disabilities or special needs.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of childhood development.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Experience working with children in a daycare or preschool setting is essential.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices is required.
- First aid certification is preferred; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
