- Coordinate daily payment processing activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor payment queues and prioritize work to meet departmental deadlines.
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, unapplied payments, and outstanding balances.
- Review payment reports and identify trends, issues, and opportunities for process improvement.
- Collaborate with finance, revenue cycle, and operational teams to ensure proper payment posting and reconciliation.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of payment activities.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and fiscal year-end payment activities.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for payment processes.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to team members on payment-related processes.
- Prepare reports and present payment performance metrics to leadership.
- Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
